FPGA it's really difficult to debug with the rudimentary techniques that I have learned alone in the internet. Nevertheless, it was a real pain in the as* to work it. in Microelectronics, unavoidably my CV highlight FPGA as my "strength" but I feel I was never fully trained in FPGA (what I know I learned it myself on youtube, this is how pathetic education in my university was). Sujeto1 Asks: I'm thinking to reset my underveloped FPGA career and jump into pure software, should I move on or stick to FPGA? wordpress application debug log (during a crash the database seems to be unavailable?) investigated the log files (find excerpts of the crash relevant times below).block suspicious IPs that tried brute force attacks.Took the server some time to process, but it did not result in a crash (this is way more compared to the traffic I usually experience with maybe 10-100 users in parallel) I tried the apache load testing tool "ab" with 10000 parallel connection.This way I can reproduce the behavior, but need to understand the root cause, since it also happens in other events. All other parts of the Sucuri plugin can be accessed without a crash. I have various plugins installed, but especially when I try to open the Sucuri Dashboard, it also results in a server crash.So it might be a side effect, not the root cause big pictures, it did not end up in a crash.
incoming traffic seems to at least correlate a little bit with the cpu spikes.Sometimes there are days without a cpu spike / server crash sometimes there are two to three within 6 hours.A server stop and restart resolves the problem for some time.regarding time or certain parts of the server being accessed at the point of time where the spike occurs besides Sucuri (see last bullet point)) Spikes seem to be random (I could not find a pattern e.g.I am unable to find the root cause to the problem and to stabilize the server. Short Description: I am hosting a wordpress application on an AWS Lightsail instance (smallest, 3.50$/mo.) using the bitnami stack and am experiencing "random" server cpu spikes.
